Also known as Functional Capacity Evaluation, is used to evaluate the worker’s ability to perform the physical abilities associated with their job; their ability to bend, twist, turn, squat, and reach are some of the functions tested. The testing may also include the ability to lift, push/pull, climb, crawl, carry and more. Testing parameters are determined by the employee’s job description, and specific to the job tasks. Medical clearance is required before initiating testing to ensure the employee is safely able to undergo testing.
